    I was tricked, lied to, uninformed, and Gaslighted Undue Influence and Outrageous Emotional duress. I immediately asked to charge the DNR Order back to Resuscitation prior to covert Emergency Hospital Transfer from Emory hospital Midtown to Wellstar LTAC Windy Hill. They REFUSED my request even after I had Patient Relations and Case Management. That was the 2nd longest, most fearful, stressful and traumatic 45 minutes drive as I drove my car behind the ambulance as I prayed to God in Jesus Christ name that Mom didn't go into cardiac arrest. 🚑 🚗🚨 ambulance 🚑🚨🚗😅😮

    I didn't realize what the ICU Chief's Pulmonary Physician had illegally had me to sign when I asked what does that orange sign over her door mean? 🚪🍊 😢😭 This was strategically and conspiracy done to cover up Medical Crimes before she was transferred to Wellstar LTAC Windy Hill. 10/01/2012 throughout 11/06/2012

    I think what your organization does is amazing. My dad has an anoxic brain injury and it has been hell whenever the ICU releases him back into an ltac. They don't care and they don't pay attention like they should, even a lot of the doctors have a very cold attitude towards the patients. But my question is how can you keep them in ICU when the insurance makes the decision that they need to go and they won't pay for them to stay any longer?

    If someone had a cardiac arrest of unknown etiology, would a single troponin test ever be adequate? I thought troponin required a test every 6 hours to have any diagnostic value. Especially the high sensitivity tests.

    Thanks for the video. My mom has severe chronic diarrhea due to Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency which leads to severe dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, particularly potassium and Sodium Bicarb. She was found with a UTI a few days ago and admitted to ICU. She is sepctic and has severe bed sores forming with a nectrotic wound on her bottom. Her mental state has declined over the past days and she is currently mostly non verbal, and non responsive, seeming catatonic. Her vitals and electrolytes seem to be normalizing though. Can only hope there isnt permanent brain damage due to encephalopathy.

    I’m worried the hospital staff might be failing my dad a bit. My dad had a heart attack,he went without oxygen for 10 minutes because ny mother claimed she couldn’t get to him. He fell between the bed and a table. He’s been in icu since early Tuesday morning (almost 48 hours.) Tuesday he didn’t show much response. He would jerk up like he was having seizures, and eyes roll back in his head.y mom and I mentioned it to nurses but they acted like it it was just involuntary movement. I knew it was a seizures and turns out I was right, several hours of this later he was FINALLY put on Keppra. No more seizures. Today (Wednesday) he was taken off sedation and pain medication… he opened his eyes multiple times, a couple times when my mom asked him to, and he was moving his mouth up and down multiple times. Especially when we said I love you. He seems to be responding to us. He gets hot and sweaty when we touch or talk to him and his heart rate goes up, blood pressure too and breathing. He’s breathing on his own. When we told the nurses about eyes and mouth moving they dismissed it as involuntary movements saying “it’s hard to tell.” One nurse told us he can definitely hear her, another said she doesn’t think he can. But he gets very responsive around family. Tonight he apparently had a fever which had me freaking out bc of potential brain swelling…. And they never called to notify us. We came and found out ourselves. They got him meds for it, he kept moving one leg, he’d had surgery on it a year or more before, so I mentioned I think his knee might be uncomfortable bc it was straight and he always sleeps with a pillow under it, she again dismissed it as involuntary. She didn’t give him anything underneath it for support and his leg came close to the edge of the bed many times. No guard rails but a fall risk bracelet,… odd. They don’t seem to be communicating with the neurologist at all… we have to constantly be on them to get him any help. What can I do so they communicate better and so they don’t push him out fast like my mom keeps making me fear they will? I’m so upset. Thank you for your channel.

    I was under for over 2 weeks, the alcoholic withdrawal was so bad i had to be sedated and put on a ventilator. After 3 weeks i was done waking up but had to wear a bi-pap for a couple weeks to help me breathe. I left acute care after 3 months and spent the next year in a nursing facility. My muscles had atrophied and i was as helpless as a 3 month old. My first night at Dearborn Commons i got my first real bath in months. What a feeling of rejuvenation!

  • @andrewbatts7678
    @andrewbatts7678 Місяць тому

    I was brought to the ER with a BAC of .53. as withdrawal worsened they decided to put me in a coma, 2 and a half weeks later the drugs were stopped, 4 or 5 days later i eventually regained consciousness. It was rough. From my arrival in the ER to leaving the nursing facility was about 15 months

    Hi, Patrick. My name is Janet. I'm trying to find out what is the best way for my sister. That has been put on ventilation due to have a pneumonia, and the hospital has informed me that she needs a trachea but every time they try to do a trach the secretion is thick, so they stop. Her numbers dropped, and they also informed me that she has to be on dialysis. I guess that's due to the fact that she's been on ventilator for a while. They are telling me that her way of life is going to be hard due to her health issues such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, thyroid, and grave disease. Also, she she is overweight. Do you think that I should stop the ventilator on her. Or do you think I should allow them to try and do another tracha so that she can live with a trachea on ventilation until maybe she can recover?

    Quality of life is very subjective. But families and patients should also understand that there is a BURDEN of treatment, when we are living but dependent on machines and other people for ongoing care--to feed us, to clean us, to move us. I do believe that life is sacred. But is it natural to prolong our life beyond natural limits with such extreme technology and machines? I also worry about the financial, emotional impact on my son, having to care for me when I am so debilitated. I worry about my dignity. I want a full life, but to let go gracefully when God calls me, and not use machines to go against God

    Recently spent 11 days in ICU and 6 days in an induced coma (acute pancreatitis caused by alcohol abuse).. I was on a ventilator, being given propofol, remfentanil and dexmedetomidine.. WILD experience.. Delirium is no joke, and I’ve got days worth of hallucinations that seem real to me.. Before going to ICU I was already being given strong stuff, I was on fentanyl using a PCA (loved it), and detox medication and who knows what else.. In total I spent 17 days in hospital, have almost zero memory of about 15 of those days, just a bunch of craziness in my head that I’ve been going over again and again with my partner to figure out what was real and what wasn’t.. Even knowing hallucinations were actually hallucinations doesn’t change the realness of them in my brain and considering almost all of them were bad I don’t think I’ll ever truly get over it.. I’ve been out of hospital for 4 and a half weeks now (alcohol free, will never drink again) and still think about what I thought, heard and saw all the time.. I don’t think anyone can truly understand how traumatic it is unless they’ve been through it.

    My wife is currently in icu Wednesday last week she had a major seizure, which caused swelling of the brain, she is currently on a ventilator in Liverpool icu on Wednesday 6 days ago they put her in a induced coma she has started coming back she attempts to rip off her ventilator responds to pain opens eyes on command, upon sedation wearing off, her lungs are clear I have asked 30 times so far has her brain stem been damaged does she have brain damage each time they say no, yesterday she squeezed my hand on command and I can see she is still there and alive I would say she has a GCS of 7 at least, despite this the nurse on duty and some intern doctor are only giving her GCS OF 3-6 I will reach out to your company ASAP

    I have had multiple general anaesthesics. Times I used propofol without midazolam, woke up normally with minimal grogginess. When given midazolam twice, only a small single dosage, it took me hours to shake off the tiredness. I dare to think how if someone is being continually dosed with midazolam, or any benzo for some length of time they can do anything.
